So does 2chan or any other Japanese website have a Strike Witches board like this? I'm interested in seeing their opinions on the witches.
Japan has their very own helma.http://karlsland.net/sw/It's linked next to the pastebin here, and they link to us as well.
See the 'Links:' thing line above reply box? There's the Karlsland.net imageboard. But from what I've gathered visiting it, it's Chinese site actually. So dunno about Nip ones.
>>9699Oh, they are talking in Chinese. Never noticed.
>>9699I might do that one too. But I'm not sure if posting in English is allowed.
>>9700There's some Japanese threads and talk but most of the board is Chinese Kanji clusterfuck. It's rather amusing that they're mixed like that.>>9701I think I recall seeing some English thread once there. Well, just try it.
>>9701The owner/admin (who has a great name I might ad) was quite nice when he posted here.http://helma.us/sw/res/198.htmlI doubt posting in English there will get you much of a response though.
>>9703>who has a great name I might adJust admit it EMT guy.
>>9704The EMT guy actually posts a lot on the board himself, if that's the owner, in Japanese.
>>9704I wish I could speak Japanese.
>>9706
Hi everyone, Karlsland.net admin hereEventually I'm a Malaysia-born Chinese, who lurks around mostly on Taiwanese imageboards, and has minimum knowledge on Japanese to be able to basically understand the meaning.Posting in English is accepted at Karlsland, but since the visitors are mostly Taiwanese, be expected for low or zero reply :-)
>>9709Neat. Do you lurk here often?Sorry for the confusion. I've only glanced at your website once or twice and didn't pay much mind to the language.
>>9709Fancy to see you around. Taiwanese eh.
I found this a very long time ago on 2chan:http://www5.atpages.jp/strikewitches/futaba/I used to know the password to it, but I've long since forgotten. Looks like the other parts of the site are also broken now.>>9709Welcome back!
>>9710I seldom lurk around here, mainly lurking at 4chan (and recently Reddit)Well, we all can hope that more love to return after Brave Witches TV aired.
>>9713>Well, we all can hope that more love to return after Brave Witches TV aired.I see you have the same problems we have then.Is Erica your favorite witch?
>>9713>RedditReeeee, ah whatever really. How much traffic does Karlsland.net have from different people? Love is bound to strengthen a lot when it eventually airs.
>>9714My top favourite witch is Gertrud Barkhorn. Erica comes next.>>9715More than half of Karlsland page hits are from Taiwan (which is where I started to promote it), following by Japan, Hong Kong, U.S., China, Thailand, CanadaBandwidth wise: Taiwan comes 1st, following by Japan, Thailand, Hong Kong, U.S., all sum up contributed more than 80% of the bandwidth.
>>9717Since we're talking about countries I might as well post the country stats for helma.us from last month.
>>9717Intredasting.Considering U.S. is that high but there's really no English spoken on the board I assume they're yankee asians for the most part then, heh.>>9718What sort of time period is this?
>>9718Scratch that, I'm drunk and blind for not reading the 'last month'.
>>9718>RussiaThis is still a bit of a surprise to me. I don't know why but it is. Most Strike Witches related thinks I see are in English, Thai, Japanese, Chinese, and finally Russian. Do they have their own community like us?
>>9721I have few Russian friends who are into Strike Witches, a lot. They don't speak English at all but instead come by with Google Translator in every occasion.Russia has sizeable interest in anime, especially with shows that have Russian characters. They damn adore them, however I don't know whether there's Russian witch sites.
>>9722I know a Russian Strike Witches page. I'll contact them later, I'm always up for meeting new people across the globe. There's a good portion of Germans too on facebook that are into it as I know of. A lot of them like Shirley from what I've gathered. Not sure about other witches yet.
>>9723>A lot of them like Shirley from what I've gathered.Traitors!
>>9724It might be because of her surname.
>>9725Her last name, suuuure.I think they're all a bunch of busenjäger.
>>9726Someone sounds jealous. Don't worry I'm sure Erica has her own German fanbase.
Wow, thanks for the great insight in the community across the globe. It's wonderful how Strike Witches brings people together.I'm a bit worried though that half of the swiss hits might be mine.
>>9728I'm a bit curious, are you the Swiss anon from the generals from eons ago who commented on me, when I didn't make my road trip to reach Switzerland when I posted those aviation museum galleries?
>>9730That would be me, yes.
>>9731Oh, haha.
>>9732I would be surprised if there were be other swiss SW fans, let alone ones that frequent helma.
>>9709>Malaysia-born ChineseSurprise, surprise. I am Malaysian Chinese too. I suppose you are living in Taiwan already?
>>9709>>9734Now you two can meet up and play a game of pretend!
>>9735Would you tell us were you're from?
>>9738If there was a way to just you I might, but I'd prefer not on the threads.
>>9734Nope, I still live in Malaysia.Specifically, Johor Bahru area
