I'm guessing it's the same reason the GBA got a lot of classic ports or the DS had a lot of licensed games.

Pre-ordered at the speed of light. Guess I'll be buying a PSP instead of a Vita. I didn't know it was a straight port of the 360 game until I saw this thread, but I'm okay with that. At least I won't have to import a Japanese 360 to play it now.

The PSP is still outselling the Vita, so apparently not. And the 360 was more of an otaku console than the PS3 ever was, strangely enough.

The Xbox 360 sold pretty poorly in Japan, the only thing that really floated its sales was the eventual release of [email protected]
It's not going to be on the PS3 because despite selling better than the 360 over there, there game simply isn't worth porting to it, too expensive. I think anyone can see that.

On the other hand, since the PSP has a wide back catalog of visual novels and anime related games, see Ore Imo or HaNaGi for example, both had games released on the PSP. The target audience most likely already owns a PSP because of that and or because of Monster Hunter, which is also popular. That and making PSP games has long since become viable, since the materials required are much cheaper to come by now.

Grow up, Famitsu review based on how "good" the game is. Strike Witches is hardly the most innovative shooter, especially due to the recent influx of "bullet hell shooters". 27/40 seem pretty reasonable a score, no, a pretty good one, in fact.
