I think we're lucky we got to see that outfit. In that scene everyone has just come in from the rain and everyone else seems to just have removed a few items of (wet) clothing and are otherwise dressed down. Sanya went and changed to a whole different set of clothes, and pretty formal stuff at that. It's hard to tell, but it looks like she's wearing gloves. Who puts on clothes like this, never mind those gloves, at the end of a rainy day? She looks like she should be attending an opera.

I'm not complaining. She looks fantastic. It's just something that sticks out to me as being odd.

Yeah, it's disappointing that the only place the relationship seems to develop is in doujins and fanfic. I haven't read any of the manga so if Eilanya gets some attention therein I've missed it.

It's kind of annoying that it's never clear in the anime if Sanya is even aware of Eila's obsessiveness. She doesn't do anything to deter it or move away from it. They take one character, have another character focus on her and then just let the situation sit and froth, occasionally boiling over but never actually evolving. I suppose that's good for holding the fans' attention but... gah!
